Summer is here and with all of the businesses mostly coming back and people’s shift going from surviving at home with COVID to getting back to a “new normal,” now is the BEST time for businesses to bring all their creative ideas to the line to get their customers attention.
A seasonal marketing campaign is a great way to boost your business customer engagement. It’s a very popular time of year that presents creative ways for fun and entertaining marketing ideas. Let’s excite your clients and see them taking advantage of your sizzling deals during these hot months!
1. Summer themed Promotional Ideas –
Branded Beach Towels, Beach Balls, Frisbees, Water bottles, or Sand Buckets. These are all things that customers love and will enjoy over and over with your logo on it! As tradeshow are on a hold, promotional products don’t need to be. Take these on client visits or mail them out to your current top clients or top people you WANT as clients! Need help picking one of these items out? Let us help you!
2. Outdoor Signage or Banners –
The weather is beautiful and people are outside! Get their attention. An A-Frame coroplast sign, a vinyl banner with grommets, or yard signs at a busy intersections or walk ways can get more traffic to your store or bring awareness to summer deals you’re hosting! Are you a shop that wants to draw in people walking by? An A-Frame is perfect. Are you a business by an intersection with high traffic counts? Yard signs are your answer! Do you have a big message that you want to get out? Hang a banner outside your business!
3. Take advantage of Holiday Summer Sales!
Memorial Day to 4th of July to Back to school to Labor Day – the summer is full of opportunity to host a holiday sale, an event or even feature new products! Did you know that customers like to spend their money with the help of coupons or other promotions? It makes them feel like they are getting a good deal.
Mail out a holiday postcard with pictures of your products, send out an email newsletter and post on social media with a holiday hashtag! Participating in any or all of these ideas can guarantee you more traffic and engagement to your business.
4. Host an event –
School is out, people are still working from home and families aren’t traveling as much as summer’s in the past. Host an event! I think you’d be surprised at your turn out! If you’re a flower shop or sewing studio – host a summer class that teaches your trade in 1 hour. If your own a fitness studio – host a free class or beach boot camp. If you are a nonprofit, bank or corporation – host a food truck or ice cream truck with a few activities for the kids. If you are worried about social distancing and getting too big of a crowd, have your event be one to sign up for or a required RSVP. The good news is that it being a COVID summer you have the opportunity to host a lot of little events instead of one large one. This will allow you to engage with your clients more. This is actually a good thing! And, it might actually save you some money OR make you more money in the long run!
When promoting your event, make sure to target your regular clients while encouraging them to invite a friend! Send out postcards or business cards that list the event details. Post it on social media and promote it for more engagement.
5. Give back to the Local Community –
This is personally, one of my favorites! Create a positive correlation between your business and local community by giving back to a non-profit, charity or other local group. Donate a portion of your sales from June, July & August or create a standalone event where a portion of the proceeds go back to your charity of choice.
Make sure to tie it with a cute marketing image and your logo so you can use it on multiple marketing channels – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Handouts, Postcards, Flyers, etc.
6. Partner with other Local Businesses –
Find a non-competing business and partner up with them to offer creative summer entertainment ideas – Dinner & a Movie? A Spa Treatment & Lunch? A night at the Hotel with a local restaurant Meal Package? Anyone? I’m ready to pack my bags now.
Promote your ideas to your targeted audience through a mailer and social media.
The most important part is that your business can thrive during these sizzling months of summer. Using any or all of these creative ideas will keep your phone ringing, your email dinging and your door open. We at Harvest Print like that. I can’t express to you how much we love seeing our clients thrive. So let’s make this “COVID Summer” be one of the best summers yet!
